After a quiet week in the Camargue we finally decide to
move on. Better said the level of fresh water on board made us move on. After only a few kilometers we pass a VNF dredging site and, as Murphys law would have it, meet a commercial barge! Betty is on the lookout ... |

At a boat rental place in Carnos we fill our water tank.
The employees are very friendly and help us tie up on the side of a few rental boats. |

Our mooring for a few nights, close to the intersection
of the new bypass and the old canal leading into Aigues Mortes. We tie up on the side of the canal, even there is a brand new VNF pier close by. It is a waiting pier for commercial barges, but is used only once for a few hours in the five days we stay here. Wouldn't it be nice to have a place to check the usage schedule? |

Another sunset in the Camargue.

we get a new neighbor, the VNF dredging barge. A layer of clouds on the horizon announces a heavy thunderstorm. Lightning hits the water close to us in the middle of the night. We stand next to the bed before we are even awake.

On the 24. we move on to stay in the
harbor close to the walls of the medieval town. We get permission from
the VNF to moor at the
commercial pier. Here we find a timetable for hotel boats, but since it
is not been updated since July it is not of much use.
