On Wednesday we have two more visitors. Heinz, Jacquelines brother and his son, Valentine are visiting for a few hours as we drive from Villeneuve to Agde. |

After staying a night in Agde we head towards the last lock of the Canal du Midi. The canal passes upriver through the Herault river, quite a change from the low, narrow waters of the Canal du Midi! |

we tie up close to a nature preserve. We are now already in salt water, ready to cross the Etang the Thau at first day-light. |

why did Peter go for a bath in the Canal? Having observed some weird behavior of the rev-counter and heard a strange clapping sound from the screw I decide to inspect it and find a set of work-clothes including belt shredded and tightly wrapped around it. I guess that makes driving over the Etang easier! |
