The higher we get the  more the area looks like the alps. Cows, trees, ... We are getting closes to the highest point of the West branch of the Marne-Rhein Canal.

For the last few days we had a lockkeeper accompanying us. The locks are all manual in this stretch of the canal. Today we crossed one barge, yesterday we were the only ship navigating on this stretch of the canal. Tourist season is definitely over, but the weather is still pleasant.
