The Marne leads through suburbs and industrial sites out of Paris. But only after half a day we are back in the wildness of the country.

The Marne originates in the plateau from Langres, check the 2004 Log-Book. The Marne leads through the Champagne region and is navigable below Epernay. The river is calm and has little current, but makes big meandering turns and joins the Seine river in Paris.
