After an early evening thunderstorm we see a faint rainbow over the harbor of Briare.

Briare is not only attractive as starting point for Canal cruises, but also for canoe and kayak trips on the Lore river. The town is also centre of a long established enamel industry, along with the close by town of Gien it also is known for its richly decorated Faïence dishes.
