After rushing up the Rhône we decide to stay for a while in Lyon to explore this third largest city of France.

High on a hill above the old town of Lyon sits the Cathedral of Fourvière. It looks like the view from up there should be fabulous; so we decide to explore the site.

The church was build at the end of the 19th century. The mosaics and stained windows are spectacular.
