After six hours driving we plan to stop in Vienne for the night. The long quay we have used last year is currently undergoing work and is therefore closed. The only other place to tie up is this floating pontoon.

I have a few nice words in my Vocabulary to describe a person who ties up his boat in the middle of the pontoon and just leaves. With his 30 feet he manages to block the whole pontoon. As consequence we have not other choice than to go on.

As it is very hard to find a place to tie up between Vienne and Lyon we prepare ourselves for another 3-4 hours of driving.
